Another Birthday @ Pre take off Fiji meeting

Sunday June 27.Happy 22nd Birthday Jake!!!

We went to the 9:30 church service at Tulare Community-wow- we missed a couple of weeks- Pastor Steve And Pastor Mark were spot on - spoke on the trap of envy and just being ourselves -our family, Matt, Jake, & Michaela nearly filled the pew- so glad we arrived early because the place was packed out. Gpa joined us for lunch- he had 4 other offers , but the chicken tacos , outstanding company, and 52 inch Samsung HD flatscreen lured him to Quail Run
. We watched the 2nd half of Argentina vs Mexico-both teams played very hard - Argentina prevailed 3-1. I pick Argentina to win the 2010 World Cup. Jake opened way too many presents for a 22 year old- shorts, shirts, fancy headphones,b stocks... Michaela is spending a couple of days with us- she is next to Emily in the pic- she luvs Gracie!! 6:00- 8:45 we had our last meeting with all the kids and leaders leaving on a mission trip July 4 to the remote island of Fiji. Everyone received some last minute instructions and advice. Emily, Dizzy @ Michaela will be on the 11/12 hour direct flight from LAX to Fiji. Hot here 100+. Wish I was back home to enjoy the thunder and lightning- French word of the day- Fromage- cheese- KADALAK

French Connection, Joe @ Jill Perry,Lakers win Title

Wow- less than 3 weeks from our departure, and somehow through our good friends and neighbors-Marty @ Jenny Zeeb, we made the connection we have been looking for-info for lodging and sightseeing July 15-18. The Zeeb's met Tony @Celine at a local restaurant, became quick friends, and next thing -we were eating dinner next door with our French connection!! Tony @ Celine live in Montpellier,France and have been traveling around the world since the latter part of September, and so far New Zealand and the USA have been their favorite countries. They were so kind to be our personal travel agents advising where to and where to not stay in their beloved France- Thanks again-check out Celine with a Cadillac Ranch Cap @ Tony with a Cadillac Ranch T-Shirt.

Denise Cahill has been our banker for the last 20 years and provided us a fantastic evening at her new home in Visalia. We met Joe Perry who arranged our financing for the Michigan house and his wife Jill who also works at Wells Fargo- in the Private Banking sector. Denise will have a cooking show on the food network this fall. She did most of the cooking-Jill helped with the abalone- Joe took over the kitchen carving the tasty beef. Joe @ Jill are wine experts and shared a special 2005 Jayson Napa blend- fantastic. The L.A. Lakers won game 7 defeating the Boston Celtics for their 16 th championship- gotta hit the open shots-Celts. Paul Gasol was the difference in the series- my MVP -KADALAK P. S. Tony, so sorry about the outcome of the France vs Mexico World Cup Match. France's 2-0 loss should make traveling in Mexico a bit easier-KADALAK

Big Day 2010 US Open Pebble Beach

We had a big day today. We started early at Starbuck's in Visalia and drove 3 1/2 hours to one of the most beautiful places in the world- Pebble Beach for the 2010 U.S. OPEN. Gpa gave us strict instructions-17 mile drive is a must see!! Upon arriving at Pebble beach- the first sign we saw-" 17 mile drive will be closed to the public June 14-20".We worked our way down to the main entrance- made a wrong wrong turn or two and somehow ended up on the famous 17 mile drive-it was spectacular. We took a few pics, traveled 400 yards and parked in Lot 11-the parking attendent noticed we did not have a pass and said "no problem"-we boarded the shuttle- scalped tickets near the entrance and in we went- Abbey promptly got busted for having an i-pod
. The weather conditions were cool and breezy. We walked most of the 18 holes- maybe 4 miles total. We saw a lot of famous golfers- Phil Mickelson, Tom Watson, K.J.Choi, Retief Goosan, Jim Fuyrk, Sean O'Hair, David Duvall, Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia, Rorry Sabbatini and many more. We bought a few memories at the gift shop and boarded the shuttle bus for a short trip back to the Buick. The U.S. Open was very very organized . On the way home Paul Baxley gave us the french word of the day-"Wei fei"- wi-fi. The Lakers returned to the comfort of The Staple's Center and physically dominated the Celtics to advance to game 7 on Thursday- the game we have been anticipating. The Celtics may be without the services of their center -Perkins, who went down with a knee injury early in the game.
Lot's of fun_KADALAK

6/12/10

Saturday was an eventful day here in the Valley and around the world. I got up early and road some hills with 2 friends of mine. Jake cut my hair with a # 2 clipper, by the way Jake- where did all the grey hair on the floor come from?? Gpa- aka Dog Whisperer came over for lunch and had an impromptu bonding session with Gracie the Poodle. World Cup action saw England-USA play to a 1-1 tie. Winning teams get 3 points. Losing teams get tired and chewed out by their coach. After 3 games the two teams from each pool with the most points advance to the next round. Fabian Cancellara won the prologue time trial-stage 1 of 9 in the Tour of Switzerland. Lance Armstrong finished 44th- 29 seconds back in the last race before the Tour de France. The Swiss Alps will feature the toughest climbs Lance will have faced this year. A celebration of life and eternal life was held today for CVC teacher, author, composer-Jon Rainbow - our kid's favorite teacher- who passed away June 8 from brain cancer. Wedding Bells- Kelsey te Velde and Fred Leyendekker exchanged afternoon wedding vows- congrats!! We had a blast at the reception at the home of Kelsey's parents. French word of the day-vida eterna- eternal life-. Au Revoir- KADALAK

BIG BABY Rallies the Celtics

Glen-'Big Baby' Davis dominated the paint this evening as Boston defeated the Lakers and tied up the NBA finals at two games a piece. Boston needs to be more mentally sound the remainder of the series- too many T's tonight. Jake & I worked together this morning culling cows. Our cows are tested every month to monitor how many gallons of milk each cow produces. Periodically we need to remove cows from the herd which are no longer cost effective- it costs more to feed these cows than the $$ we receive from the milk they produce- so they make the transition to the big green pasture in the sky-by way of Taco Bell, Save Mart Supermarkets, In & Out Burger.. Check out the pics-Moving day!!! Matt and Jake have a new home away from home-GPA's. Pudah officially evicted them this evening from our home-Abizaba arrives tomorrow from England- we need some space- and wow these guys eat forever!!! Gpa gave the guys specific instructions on how to conserve the upstairs air conditioner!!!! Matt is feeling a bit better- we will let the pills do their thing and if they do not work , we will drive to three rivers for some alternative treatment-French word of the day- Lakuers bonque- Lakers bonk-KADALAK
